24 Hour Claim Service

Our ultimate goal at Bollinger is to provide our insureds with the best customer and claims service possible thereby assisting in the mitigation of any loss which unfortunately may occur.

However, in order to reach this mutually obtainable goal there is certain information which will be necessary to report and monitor your claim. The following is a general outline of the information required and the procedures to report a new claim or obtain information about an existing claim.

Bollinger has a toll free 24 hour number to report new claims. During normal business hours you will be connected to a claims representative in our office to take the information needed. If the office is closed and you would like to report the claim, call our toll free number and you will be connected to the 24 hour service. They will take the necessary information about the loss. If you should have a catastrophic loss, such as a death, fire or serious motor vehicle accident, the service will page a claims representative who will call you back as soon as possible.

The information needed will include:

  • WHO? - Who is the insured party and who is involved?

  • WHAT? - What happened?

  • WHEN? - When was the date of the loss?

  • WHERE? - Address where the loss occurred.

  • HOW? - How did it happen?

If the loss is a theft or a motor vehicle accident, a police report is required.

If the claim involves a member who has been injured and you have worker’s compensation insurance with Bollinger, please follow these procedures:

To report a new worker’s compensation claim please call 1-800-754-9385. This is also a 24 hour claims reporting service, therefore, the claim should be reported immediately. Do not wait for a doctor’s report. If possible, the injured party should be the one to report the claim. They will be given a reference number that they will need for future handling of the claim. Please feel free to call our office directly if you experience any problem with this procedure.

If any medical bills do get mailed to you or the injured party directly, please send them to Richard Sammet at Bollinger Insurance.

Please also include any additional information that you may have regarding the injury including any initial medical bills.

For billing purposes it is very important that your members give the following information to the treating facility:

Further, in order to ensure proper claims handling, it is imperative that you provide us with the name, address and telephone number of a contact person from your organization for each claim.

To follow up on an existing claim please feel free to call Richard Sammet at 973-921-8213.

As these procedures have been established to aid you in the reporting of your claim and our ultimate goal is to make them as user friendly as possible, we encourage your questions and appreciate your comments.
